Results

The virtual teardown led to the recommendation of standardizing fasteners, materials, and plating. By using base materials that match the mating materials, corrosion is avoided, and the fasteners' service life is extended. Stainless steel was recommended for enhanced corrosion protection where necessary. This standardization not only streamlined inventory management and reduced storage needs but also saved the company 945 hours of valuable time, ultimately lowering costs and improving efficiency.
