Our engineering team in China collaborated closely with EHang to design a tailor-made fastener specifically for the Falcon-B’s camera mount. This critical component needed to hold the camera securely in place while allowing effortless removal for maintenance—a challenge requiring innovation at every step.

EHang also sought to simplify the overall design of the assembly. By integrating advanced engineering with user-centric design principles, Bossard delivered a solution that exceeded expectations.

The project progressed swiftly:

• Initial Design: Within one week, we presented EHang with a concept for the custom part.
• Prototyping: Two weeks later, we produced the first samples for evaluation.
• Optimization: Collaborating with EHang, we analyzed and refined the assembly and installation process.
• Testing & Approval: After three months of rigorous testing, the new fastener, along with technical drawings and reports, was approved and released for production.

The result is a market-first fastening solution designed for precision and ease of use. Key features include:

• Tool-Free Attachment: The screw can be installed and removed without the need for tools, enhancing efficiency.
• Integrated Help Guide: Prevents over-tightening and ensures accurate installation.
• Anti-Vibration Design: A roughened surface and snap closure ensure a secure connection even under vibration.
• Maintenance-Friendly: For additional flexibility, the fastener can also be adjusted using a Phillips or flathead screwdriver.
• Anti-Loss Mechanism: The screw remains attached even when loosened, eliminating the risk of loss.

This innovative fastener dramatically reduces assembly time while maintaining exceptional reliability and performance.
